Notice: All users requiring access to G5 must register with the U.S. Department of Education to obtain individual user IDs and passwords. In addition, all payees receiving grant award funds
must submit signed and properly validated paperwork supporting their individual registrations. By applying for an ID, users must acknowledge that the data processed in G5 is sensitive financial data protected
by the Privacy Act and other authorities. Users are not allowed to share passwords or login account information with anyone or access the G5 system using the credentials of others. Any sharing of user
account information or unauthorized access to G5 will result in a loss of system privileges.

05/01/20Important CARES Act Guidance- Please be aware that if funds are awarded to your institution under the CFDAs of 84.425E or 84.425F, for 18004 (a)(1) of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund, the following situations will occur with the obligation in the G5 grants system: When funds are obligated by the U.S. Department of Education program office, the individuals listed under "Certifying Official" and "Project Director" on the HEERF grant application will receive an email alert that a Grant Award Notification (GAN) is available for them to view in G5. more »
04/02/20Payee Access Forms during COVID-19 quarantine- Due to social distancing rules in effect for COVID 19, G5 users requesting the Payee role may temporarily substitute a school/organizational stamp or attach a letter on letterhead to the Payee Access Form, in lieu of notarization. The original Payee Access Forms must still be mailed to the Department of Education. Payee Access Forms and banking forms (SF1199A) are still being processed by the Department, but on a less frequent basis. Please plan for delays in obtaining Payee access.
