In this topic, you will learn how to add abstracts to a PR/Award application in G5.
Steps:
Click the Budget Data and Abstracts menu to begin the process of adding abstracts.
Step 1Enter the search information into the Fiscal Year field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "2009".
Step 2Enter the search information into the CFDA/Subprogram field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "84.003A".
Step 3Enter the search information into the Schedule No. field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "2".
Step 4Click the Search button to search for PR/Award Numbers which meet the criteria.
Step 5Click the Select button to mark PR/Award Number Z003A090001.
Step 6Click the Maintain Abstracts button to move to the Abstracts tab.
Step 7Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 8Click the Browse... button to search for an abstract file to upload.
Step 9Select the Abstract WM list item.
Step 10Click the Open button to pull the file you selected into the Upload Application File field.
Step 11Click the Upload button to upload the abstract file into the PR/Award application information.
Step 12Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 13Note: Once the Upload button is clicked, the abstract's file name is displayed in the Selected Abstract Information.
Step 14Click the Project Descriptors button to display the project descriptors information.
Step 15Enter the information into the Project Title field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Technology and Local Business".
Step 16Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 17Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down through the Categories.
Step 18Select the Technology list item.
Step 19Click the Update > button to update the Reference Project Descriptors field based on the Category you selected.
Step 20Select the Technology Transfer list item.
Step 21Click the Add > button to add the Reference Project Descriptor you selected to the Current Project Descriptors list.
Step 22Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 23Click the Continue > button to return to the Abstracts tab.
Step 24Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 25Click the Continue > button to move to the Summary tab.
Step 26Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and review the abstract information.
Step 27Click the Submit button to submit the updates to the system.
Step 28The system displays a message indicating that the abstract has been saved successfully.
Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 29Note: If you want to add additional abstracts, you can click the Done button and return to the search screen to repeat the process.
Step 30Click the Go To Home button to return to the My Home Page screen.
