In this topic, you will learn how to use the Search function to perform detailed searches across grants, recipients, and programs.
Steps:
Click the Search link to perform a search in G5.
Step 1Main Search Page: This page allows users to search for awards and recipients using basic information. Fields contain drop down boxes which enable the user to conduct a search by entering information into the provided fields and clicking the Search button.
Step 2The Award Type drop down box allows users to choose between Discretionary or Formula awards when conducting a search.
Step 3The Award Status drop down box allows users to search for awards of a particular status.
Step 4The Grant Contacts section allows users to search for awards assigned to a specific project director, certifying official, or ED Program Contact.
Step 5Click the Advanced Search link to conduct an advanced award search using additional search criteria.
Step 6Advanced Search provides multiple tabs with extra search fields for more detailed searches.
Step 7Click the Recipient Details tab to search for recipient data.
Step 8The Recipient Details tab allows users to enter search criteria related to recipient details.
Step 9Click the Monitoring Reviews tab to view search criteria related to monitoring reviews.
Step 10The Monitoring Reviews tab allows users to enter search criteria related to monitoring reviews.
Step 11Click the Program Subject tab to conduct a search on Program Subjects.
Step 12The Program Subject tab allows users to enter search criteria related to program subjects. Program Subject information is assigned by the Program Office Scheduler when a grant schedule is created.
Step 13Click the IPEDS Info tab to conduct a search using IPEDS data.
Step 14The IPEDS Info tab allows users to enter search criteria related to IPEDS, the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System.
Step 15Hover over the Main menu and click the My HomePage menu item to return to the My Home Page screen.
