Add a Document to the Grant File


Concept

In this topic, you will learn how to add a document to the Grant File.


Steps:

  1. Click the My Grants link to view the list of assigned awards.

  2. Select the desired award by clicking the PR Award Number link.

     

    In this example, select award Z420C130001.

  3. Click the Grant File tab to view the documents within the Grant File.

  4. Click the Add Document button to add a new document to the Grant File for the selected award.

  5. Enter the desired information in the Title field.

     

    In this example, enter "No-Cost Time Extension Request".

  6. Click the Section field to select the section of the Grant File to which this document will be uploaded.

  7. Select the desired section from the dropdown list.

     

    In this example, select Section 1: Award.

  8. Click in the Subsection field to select a subsection if necessary.

     

    This field provides a specific classification within the section.

  9. Select the desired subsection from the dropdown list.

     

    In this example, select Award Issue.

  10. Click in the Grant File Subject field to select the subject of the document.

  11. Select the desired Grant File Subject from the dropdown list.

     

    In this example, select Budget.

  12. Click the Upload button begin the process of uploading the document.

  13. Click the Choose file button to search for the document to upload.

  14. Locate the file on your computer then click on the title to select it.

     

    In this example, select the Grantee Admin Action Request list item.

  15. Click the Open button to pull the file you selected into the Upload Files field.

  16. Note: The file name will appear in the Upload Files field.

  17. Click the Upload button to upload the selected file to G5.

  18. G5 will scan the file for viruses.

  19. Note: Once the document is successfully uploaded, you will be able to view the document by clicking on the file name in the Add Grant File Document window.

  20. Enter a brief description of the document in the Notes field.

     

    In this example, enter "The grantee is requesting a one year no-cost time extension."

  21. Click the Save Document button to add the document to the Grant File.

  22. A message will appear to confirm that the document has been saved successfully.

  23. The document now appears in the Grant File.

  24. Hover over the Main menu and click the My HomePage menu item to return to the My Home Page screen.
