In this topic, you will learn how to inquire on reviewers using the different parameters on the Maintain Pool of Reviewers search screen.
Steps:
Click the Reviewer Pool menu item to begin the process of querying reviewers.
Step 1Note: There are several ways to inquire on reviewers. You may query a single reviewer by putting the first and last name in the field. You may query all reviewers with certain key words in their profiles by using the Smart Search field. You may query using a combination of parameters to display a list of reviewers from which to choose.
Step 2Enter the information into the First Name field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Nancy".
Step 3Enter the information into the Last Name field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Reviewer".
Step 4Click the button to the right of the Search Filter field to display the search filter list.
Step 5Note: You can search by:
All Persons - All internal users in G5.
All Reviewers - The group of people who are part of the reviewer pool, including panel monitors.
Potential Reviewers - The group of people who have registered as a reviewer but who are not yet in the reviewer pool.
Enabled Reviewers - The group of people who are in the reviewer pool and have a status of Active.
Disabled Reviewers - The group of people who are in the reviewer pool and have a status of Inactive.
Step 6Select the All Reviewers list item.
Step 7Click the Search button to search for the reviewer you have entered.
Step 8The record displays for the reviewer you entered.
Click the Reviewer link to view the reviewer's information.
Step 9The reviewer's Basic Profile displays. At the left-hand side of the screen are tabs with additional information. Each tab which displays with a green check mark has information on it. The only tab which requires a reviewer to complete information is the Work Experience tab.
Click the Profile tab to view the optional profile information.
Step 10Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 11Click the Documents tab to view any documents which have been attached.
Step 12The reviewer's resume has been attached and can be viewed by clicking the Resume link in the Document Type column.
Click the Education tab to view the reviewer's education.
Step 13The reviewer earned a doctorate in Education.
Click the Specialization tab to view areas in which the reviewer specializes.
Step 14The reviewer specializes in curriculum development.
Click the Work Experience tab to view the reviewer's work experience.
Step 15The reviewer has been a university or college professor for 15 years.
Click the Reader Experience tab to view whether or not the reviewer has participated in past reviews.
Step 16The reviewer has participated in several reviews for the past 15 years.
Click the Preferences tab to view for which type of competitions the reviewer prefers to read.
Step 17The reviewer prefers to read for competitions which are for curriculum development programs.
Click the Miscellaneous tab to view any of the optional miscellaneous information that the reviewer may have included.
Step 18The reviewer chose not to complete this section, but could have included any publications or professional memberships.
Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 19The reviewer also could have indicated if she had been or currently is a project director of an ED grant.
Click the Calendar tab to view any event information the reviewer indicated on her G5 calendar.
Step 20The reviewer's G5 calendar (only visible within G5) displays.
Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 21The calendar defaults to the current date, and you may use the right and left arrow keys to move to a previous or future month.
After reviewing the calendar information, click the < Previous button to return to the Search Results screen.
Step 22Note: If you would like to view information for another reviewer, you may clear your search terms and perform a new search.
Step 23Hover over the Main menu and click the Home menu item to return to the My Home Page screen.
Step 24Congratulations!
You have successfully inquired on reviewers and reviewed viewer information.
