Purpose : This procedure demonstrates how to create a UEI reassignment request in G5.  Each recipient in G5 is uniquely identified by a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number, which is assigned by SAM.gov.  These UEI numbers can be changed based upon actions taken by the recipient, such as a merger between two existing recipients.  The G5 Functional Team receives requests to reassign UEI for specific recipients in one of the following ways:    

    

-  Calls or letters received from a recipient notifying the Department that the UEI number has changed

-  E-mail notifications generated as part of the PEPS automated interface process
