In this topic, you will learn how to renew an award.
Steps:
Click the Create Renewals menu to begin the process of renewing an award.
Step 1Enter the correct information into the From Fiscal Year field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "2010".
Step 2Enter the correct information into the CFDA/Subprogram field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "84.066W".
Step 3Click the Search button to search for awards which meet the search criteria.
Step 4Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and view the search results.
Step 5Note: If you want to renew all the awards which display, you may click the All link. If you need to select only part of the list, you may check the check boxes for the awards you wish to renew.
For this example, all the awards will be renewed.
Step 6Click the All link to mark all the awards for renewal.
Step 7Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll back down to the bottom of the screen.
Step 8The system has checked the check boxes for all the awards.
Note: The Budget Fiscal Year is indicated at the end of the PR/Award number.
Step 9Enter the correct information into the To Fiscal Year field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "2011".
Step 10Enter the correct information into the To Schedule No field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "2".
Step 11Click the button to the right of the Number of Budget Periods to Add field to display the choices for number of budget periods.
Step 12Select 1.
Step 13Click the Add button to add the number of budget periods you selected.
Step 14Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll back down to the bottom of the screen.
Step 15The additional budget period information displays at the bottom of the screen.
Click the button to the right of the Budget Period Length field to display the list of the budget period lengths.
Step 16Select the 1 year list item.
Step 17Note: If you are adding more than one budget period, you can add the additional lines that you need to indicate Budget Period Length for each.
Step 18Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll back down to the bottom of the screen.
Step 19Click the Continue > button to move to the Summary tab.
Step 20Note: If any of the awards which were selected are not able to be renewed, the system will generate an error message indicating which awards are not able to be renewed. When this occurs, you may return to the Renew Award tab and uncheck the awards which generated errors. Then, you may proceed in renewing the remainder of the awards.
Step 21Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and review the information you have entered.
Step 22Click the Submit button to submit the renewals to the system.
Step 23The system displays a message indicating that the awards have been successfully renewed.
Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 24Note: If you would like to renew awards for additional schedules, you may click Done and return to the search screen to repeat the process.
Step 25Click the Go to Home button to return to the My Home Page screen.
Step 26Congratulations!
You have successfully renewed an award.
