Overview of e-Application Publishing in Grants.gov

Application packages for all grants other than Fellowship, REAP and Impact Aid will be maintained and published using the Grants.gov application website.  Once an application package is created in G5, the package must be built and published in Grants.gov.  After applications are interfaced to G5 from Grants.gov, users can view and print the applications in G5.  The following chapter describes the detailed processes for creating the application package in G5 which will act as a shell to receive the applications which are interfaced from Grants.gov.

Note:  In the Create an Application Package topic, users must complete the mandatory fields on the "General" tab screen only and then save their work.  This allows the applications to be interfaced over from the Grants.gov application website.  Once this step is completed, users need to build and publish the package in Grants.gov.

Also Note:  For instructions on how to build and publish an application package in Grants.gov, users must go to the Grants.gov link posted on ConnectED.  The instructional manual will give users a step-by-step guide on building, modifying and publishing an application package in Grants.gov.
