    Step 1
  2. Enter the search information into the Fiscal Year field.

    For this example, enter "2015".

    Step 2
  3. Enter the search information into the CFDA Number field.

    For this example, enter "84.042A".

    Step 3
  4. Enter the correct information into the Schedule No. field.

    For this example, enter "1".

    Step 4
  5. Click the Change Type list to view the adjustment options.

    Step 5
  6. You can increase or decrease the awards in three ways:

Percentage - each award on the schedule is adjusted by a percentage that you specify (i.e. every award is increased by 5%)

Dollar Amount - each award on the schedule is adjusted a certain dollar amount (i.e. each award is increased $1000)

Total Dollar Amount - you enter a total amount that needs to be distributed then that amount will be divided evenly among the available awards

    Step 6
  7. In this example, click the Increase Awards By Percentage list item.

    Step 7
  8. Enter the correct value into the Change Value field.

This will be either the percentage or dollar amount by which you want to adjust the awards.

In this example, enter "5" to increase the awards by 5%.

    Step 8
  9. Click the Calculate button to calculate the new recommended amounts.

    Step 9
  10. Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down the page.

    Step 10
  11. In this example, we increased the awards by 5%.

G5 displays the current recommended amount, the additional amount will be applied to the award, and the new modified recommended amount.

Notice that the increase was only applied to the awards that have a current recommended amount.  Ratable adjustments can be applied to new or continuation awards only after the budget periods have been created and the recommended amounts have been entered.

    Step 11
  12. This image is an example of how the columns would appear if you were to increase the awards by a dollar amount, in this case $1,000.

Notice the Amount Applied Deviation fields can be modified here.  These fields become activated when there is a remaining amount available.  You have the option of manually entering additional applied amounts for each award until the remaining balance is $0.

    Step 12
  13. This image is an example of increasing awards by a total dollar amount of $10,000.

In this situation, the total dollar amount will be divided by the number of awards on the schedule that have budget periods created.  The resulting amount will be applied to each award with a current recommended amount.

    Step 13
  14. Click the Vertical scrollbar to the bottom of the page.

    Step 14
  15. Click the Submit button to complete the adjustment.

    Step 15
  16. Hover over the Main menu and click the My HomePage menu item to return to the My Home Page screen.

    Step 16

Congratulations!
