In this topic, you will learn how to create a loan base record.
Steps:
Click the Base Record Maintenance menu item to begin the process of creating a loan base record.
Step 1Click the Create button to create a new record.
Step 2Click the button to the right of the Award Type field to display the list of award types.
Step 3Select the Direct Loan list item for this example.
Step 4Enter the information into the Academic Year field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "2011".
Step 5Enter the information for the new subprogram into the CFDA/Subprogram field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "84.407Z".
Step 6Click the Continue > button to continue to the General tab.
Step 7Enter the information into the Loan Base Record Title field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "DL 2010-2011".
Step 8The start and end dates have been updated for this example.
Step 9Click the Continue > button to continue to the Program Office tab.
Step 10The Primary Program Office defaults based on the program office associated with your email/user ID.
Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 11Click the Edit button to edit the details of the program office information.
Step 12Click the button to the right of the Program Office Division field to display the list of program office divisions which are associated to your program office.
Step 13Select the FIPSE list item.
Step 14Click the Update Contacts button to display the list of program contacts.
Step 15Click the Select button to mark Sharon Erling.
Step 16Click the Vertical scrollbar.
Step 17Click the Continue > button.
Step 18Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 19Click the Continue > button to continue to the ACCS tab.
Step 20Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 21Enter the fund code into the Fund Code field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "0201XNOYR".
Step 22The remaining fields have been entered for this example.
Step 23Click the Add ACCS button to add the ACCS code to the base record.
Step 24Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 25Enter the total dollar amount for the base record into the PCCA Adjustment field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "50000".
Step 26Click the Update PCCAs button to update the PCCA figures.
Step 27Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll back down to the PCCAs.
Step 28The Gross and Net PCCA sections have been automatically updated by the system.
Click the Continue > button to continue to the Summary tab.
Step 29Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 30Click the Submit button to submit and save the loan base record.
Step 31The system displays a message indicating that the loan base record was successfully created.
Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 32Note: If you would like to create additional loan base records, you may click Done and return to the create screen to repeat the process.
Step 33Click the Go To Home button to return to the My Home Page screen.
Step 34Congratulations!
You have successfully created a loan base record.
