In this topic, you will learn how to manually enter a formula allotment.
Steps:
Click the Formula Allotment menu item to begin the process of entering allotments manually.
Step 1Enter the search information into the Fiscal Year field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "2009".
Step 2Enter the search information into the CFDA/Subprogram field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "84.003J".
Step 3Click the Search button to search for schedules/competitions which meet the criteria.
Step 4Click the Select button to mark Schedule/Competition 5.
Step 5Click the Modify button to modify the allotment records.
Step 6Enter the allotment amount into the Allotment Amount field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "20000".
Step 7Click the Edit Allocation Total link to enter the ACCS allocation or allocations.
Step 8Note: Each award has an Allotment Total. For each allotment, there may be one ACCS or several. Each ACCS Amount is also considered an Allocation. The total of all Allocations must equal the Allotment.
This example uses one ACCS/Allocation.
Step 9Enter the allocation amount into the ACCS Amount field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "20000".
Step 10Click the Save Allocations button to save the allocation you have entered.
Step 11Note: You can repeat the process for each Award Applicant.
For this example, the remaining allotment amounts have been completed. Also, the Student Count for 2 of the Applications has been completed.
Step 12Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 13Click the Update Totals button to update the Allotment Total and Allocation Total.
Step 14Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and review the Totals.
Step 15Note: The system has calculated the Per Student Costs for the Awards which have Student Counts entered.
Also Note: The Allotment and Allocation Amounts are equal for each award.
Step 16Note: The system has also calculated the Allotment Total and Allocation Total and displayed the difference between the two, if any. Again, the Totals should be equal.
Step 17Click the Continue > button to move to the Abstract Details screen.
Step 18Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 19Click the button to the right of the Ed Program Contact Name field to display the list of Ed program contacts.
Step 20Select the Washington, Ed list item.
Step 21Click the button to the right of the Population Served field to display the population choices.
Step 22Select the Undergraduate list item.
Step 23Note: You can select more than one Program Descriptor by holding down the Control Key on the keyboard and selecting each that apply.
For this example, Marine Education and Statistical Survey have been selected.
Step 24Click the Continue > button to move to the Formula Records Summary screen.
Step 25Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 26Click the Submit button to submit the information you have entered.
Step 27Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 28Note: If you want to enter additional allotments, you can click the Done button to return to the search screen and repeat the process.
Step 29Click the Go To Home button to return to the My Home Page screen.
Step 30Congratulations!
