In this topic, you will learn how to delegate user privileges.
Steps:
Hover over the Grant Setup menu and click the Package Submission menu item to begin the process of delegating user privileges.
Step 1Click the Select button to mark the desired application package.
In this example, click the Select button to mark the 2013 REAP package.
Step 2Click the Modify Application button to move to the Package Information tab.
Step 3Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down to the action buttons.
Step 4Click the User Privileges button to display the User Privileges tab.
Step 5The Package Privilege details display. For this example, the current user will keep privileges and a new user will be added.
Click the Add User(s) button to add a new user.
Step 6Important Note: The person to whom you want to delegate package level privileges must be a registered G5 user in order for the system to find the person's information.
Step 7Enter the desired information into the Email field.
In this example, enter "edtrainer7@gmail.com".
Step 8Click the Search button to search for the person's information in the system.
Step 9Note: If the person exists in G5, then the information will display. Otherwise, the person will need to register in G5.
Click the Select button to mark Ed Trainer.
Step 10Click the Add User(s) button to add the person you selected as a delegate.
Step 11Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down to the bottom of the screen.
Step 12Click the Continue button to continue and return to the User Privileges tab.
Step 13The system displays a message indicating that the user was successfully added. The user you added now displays in the Package Privileges section.
Step 14Click the Select button to give the new user the Submit privilege.
Step 15Note: Only one user may have the Submit package level privilege at any given time.
Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down to the forms list.
Step 16Next, you must assign form privileges to the new user. Form privileges determine which forms the user can access and the actions they can perform.
Step 17You may assign privileges at the form level as needed. For this example, both Edit and View privileges will be assigned.
Click the Edit privilege option.
Step 18Click the View privilege option.
Step 19Once you have set the Form Privileges for each of the forms, click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll to the bottom of the page.
Step 20Click the Continue button to save the updated User Privileges and return to the Package Information tab.
Step 21The system displays a message indicating that the package has been updated.
Step 22Hover over the Main menu and click the Home menu item to return to the My Home Page screen.
Step 23Congratulations!
You have successfully delegated user privileges.
