In this topic, you will learn how to delegate user privileges.
Steps:
Hover over the Grant Maintenance menu and click the Package Submission menu item to begin the process of delegating user privileges.
Step 1The system displays your list of awards. Click the Select button to mark the desired performance report package.
In this example, click the Select option to mark award Z420C130001.
Step 2Click the Continue button to continue to the Performance Report List tab.
Step 3Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and view the list of reports.
Step 4Click the Select button to mark the Annual Performance report for award Z420C130001.
Step 5Click the Edit Report button to edit the report you selected.
Step 6Click the User Privileges button to display the User Privileges tab.
Step 7The Package Privileges field is displayed, containing the roles available to each user.
In this example, the current user will retain the Manager privilege. A new user will be added and assigned the Submit privilege.
Step 8Click the Add User(s) button to add a new user.
Step 9Important Note: The person to whom you want to delegate package level privileges must be a registered G5 user in order for the system to find the person's information.
Step 10Enter the desired information into the Email field.
In this example, enter "bjorn.reviewer@gmail.com".
Step 11Click the Search button to search for the person's information in the system.
Step 12Note: If the person exists in G5, then the information will display. Otherwise, the person will need to register in G5.
Click the Select button to mark Bjorn Reviewer.
Step 13Click the Add User(s) button to add the person you selected as a delegate.
Step 14Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down to the bottom of the screen.
Step 15Click the Continue button to continue and return to the User Privileges tab.
Step 16The system displays a message indicating that the user was successfully added. The user you added now displays in the Package Privileges section.
Step 17Click the Select button to give the new user the Submit privilege.
Step 18Note: Only one user may have the Submit package level privilege at any given time.
Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down to the forms list.
Step 19Next, you must assign form privileges to the new user. Form privileges determine which forms the user can access and the actions they can perform.
In this example, click the Select button to mark the Project Status Chart - Section B & C form.
Step 20Click the Form Privileges button to view the Form Privileges screen.
Step 21You may assign privileges at the form level as needed. For this example, both Edit and View privileges will be assigned.
Click the Edit privilege option.
Step 22Click the View privilege option.
Step 23Click the Continue button to return to the User Privileges tab.
Step 24Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll back down to the forms list.
Step 25You may repeat the process for each of the forms in order to assign privileges.
Step 26Once you have set the Form Privileges for each of the forms, click the Continue button to return to the Package Information tab.
Step 27The system displays a message indicating that the package has been updated.
Step 28Hover over the Main menu and click the Home menu item to return to the My Home Page screen.
Step 29Congratulations!
You have successfully delegated user privileges.
