Purpose: This procedure demonstrates how to enter budget periods for a discretionary award in G5. The performance period for each award stipulates how long the project will last. For each performance period, there may be one or several budget periods, depending on the length of the performance period. The user may enter new budget periods until the number of budget periods is equal to the number of budget periods specified in the associated subprogram. This functionality focuses on entering budget periods for each application.
G5 Role: Program Office Staff (as long as their office is associated with the CFDA Subprogram)
Navigation Path: Grant Setup > Discretionary Grants > Budget Data and Abstracts
