In this topic, you will learn how to review an application or indicate that you have a conflict of interest with an application.
Steps:
Click the Application Review menu item to begin the review process.
Step 1Click the button to the right of the Form Type field to display the list of form types.
Step 2Select the Technical Review Form list item.
Step 3Click the Select button to mark Panel 2.
Step 4Click the Continue > button to move to the Conflict of Interest screen.
Step 5Note: The Conflict of Interest (COI) screen will only appear the first time you access a panel.
If you realize that you have a conflict after you have started reviewing applications, you can update your COI status. Please refer to the topic entitled "Update Conflict of Interest Status."
Step 6Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 7Click the No option for the first application.
Step 8Note: You can click the COI Indicator for multiple applications before proceeding. For this example, the "No" choices have been selected for each application listed.
Step 9After completing the COI Indicator as "No" for each application, click the Continue > button to move to the Application Review List tab.
Step 10Click the Select option to mark the first application listed.
Step 11Click the Continue > button to move to the Question Groups/Topics tab.
Step 12The form opens on the Main Questions tab. The Question Summary tree is displayed on the left-hand side.
Note: As soon as you engage this screen, the system displays a clock on the right-hand side which will count down to the standard timeout for a G5 session. The session will timeout in 20 minutes, however, you will be able to click a button to continue your session without interruption.
Also Note: You may also navigate using your Tab, Shift Tab and Arrow keys on the keyboard.

Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and view the action buttons.
Step 14Two of the action buttons at the bottom of the screen are View Comments and View e-Application. If you click on View Comments, you will see comments from the program office regarding the review. Clicking the View e-Application button will take you to a screen where you may view and/or print any of the applicant's forms.
Step 15Click the Resources menu item to display the first question.
Step 16The first question displays. For each question, there is an Answer section, Question Score box and an Answer Complete box.
Questions will either be free-form where you can write a narrative or have a list from which you will select the answer.
Step 17For this example, the answer and question score have been completed.
Step 18Note: You may spell check your work at any point by clicking the button.
Click the Answer Complete? option to indicate that you are finished with the question.
Step 19Click the Save button to save your work.
Step 20Note: After you click the Save button, the first question is updated in the Question Summary tree with a green check mark.
Step 21You may repeat the process for each of the questions. This is a sample of a completed Main Questions tab.
Step 22Click the Continue > button to continue to the Priority Questions tab.
Step 23The Priority Questions are completed in the same manner as the Main Questions.
Note: Not every review includes priority questions. If your review does not have priority questions, you may click the Continue button at the bottom of the screen to proceed to the Summary tab.
Step 24Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 25Click the Overall Comments menu item to display the question.
Step 26The question displays. Just as with the main questions, for each question there is an Answer section, Question Score box and an Answer Complete box.
Questions will either be free-form where you can write a narrative or have a list from which you will select the answer.
Step 27Note: You may spell check your work at any point by clicking the button.
For this example, the narrative and score have been completed.
Step 28Click the Answer Complete? option to indicate that the answer is complete.
Step 29Click the Save button to save your work.
Step 30Note: After you click the Save button, the first question is updated with a green check mark in the Question Summary tree.
Step 31Click the Continue > button to move to the Summary tab.
Step 32Note: If you want to print what you have entered, you may click the print icon.
Step 33Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and view the Review Summary for Questions.
Step 34Click the Horizontal scrollbar to scroll to the right to center the Review Summary for Questions.
Step 35The Review Summary for Questions shows the breakdown per question for both possible points and points scored.
Step 36Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and review your narrative answers as well.
Step 37Note: If you need to make any changes at this point, you may scroll up and click back on the tab where you need to make updates. Otherwise, you can proceed.
Step 38Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll back to the top of the screen.
Step 39Click the Application Review link to return to the Panels List tab.
Step 40Click the Select option once again to mark the same panel.
Step 41Click the Continue > button to once again display the Application Review List tab.
Step 42Note: The TRF you completed is now in Draft status and there is a Submit box displayed which you may click to submit it at a later time.
The other two forms in this example have not been started, therefore they do not have a status.

You may repeat the steps for the TRFs for each application until you have reviewed and scored each of them.
Step 44Once you have reviewed all the applications and saved your work, click the Home menu item to return to the My Home Page screen.
