In this topic, you will learn how to register in the G5 system as a servicer.
Steps:
Click the Sign In button to view the login options.
Step 1Click the Sign In button to open the G5 homepage.
Step 2Click the I Agree button to agree to the terms and open the G5 homepage.
Step 3Click the Sign Up link to register as a new user.
Step 4The User Registration screen displays.
Click in the ED Employee/ED Contractor field to display the employee/contractor options.
Step 5Select No to indicate you are not a U.S. Department of Education employee or contractor.
Step 6Enter the information in the First Name field.
In this example, enter "Tim".
Step 7Enter the information in the Last Name field.
In this example, enter "Applicant".
Step 8Enter the information in the Email Address field.
In this example, enter "tim.applicant@gmail.com".
Step 9Repeat your email address in the Confirm Email Address field. This step has been completed for you in this example.
Enter your address in the required fields which are identified by a red asterisk (*).
These fields have completed for you in this example.
Click the Continue button to continue to the user registration agreement.
Step 12Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and read the user agreement.
Step 13After reviewing the agreement, select the Agree option to agree to the user agreement.
Note: If you do not agree, then you may not complete the registration process.
Step 14Click the Submit button to submit your account request.
Step 15The system displays a message indicating that the system will send a notification to your email address.
Step 16An email titled "[G5.gov] Account Request" will be sent to you.
Click the Activate My Account button.
Step 17Clicking the link takes you to the Account Activation screen.
Click the Agree option to agree to the activation terms.
Step 18Click the Submit button to submit your activation.
Step 19Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and review the rules for the user ID and password.
Step 20Click the Continue > button to complete the password, security question and security answer.
Step 21Enter a phone number into one of the available fields.
In this example, enter "2025555555" in the Work Number field.
Step 22Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 23Enter the password you are creating into the Password field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Education_123".
Step 24For this example, the password has been re-entered in the Verify Password field.
Step 25Click the button to the right of the Security Question field to display the security question options.
Step 26Select the What was your favorite place to visit as a child? list item.
Step 27Enter the information into the Security Answer field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Park".
Step 28For this example, the security questions and answers have been completed.
Step 29Click the Continue > button to continue to the summary information.
Step 30Click the Activate button to activate your account and save your password and security information.
Step 31The system displays a message indicating that the account has been activated and that you will need to log into G5 to select your role for access. You will also receive a confirmation email.
Click the Go to Home button to open the G5 homepage.
Step 32Enter the email address you used to register in G5 into the Email ID field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "tim.applicant@gmail.com".
Step 33Enter the password you set up into the Password field.
For this example, enter a valid value e.g. "Education_123".
Step 34Click the Login to G5 button to log into the system.
Step 35The Edit Profile screen displays with the information you entered when you set up your account.
Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down and verify the information.
Step 36Note: You may update any of the fields which are active. To change your password, you can click the Change Password button.
Step 37Select the Payee list item.
Step 38Click the Continue > button to continue to the Additional Information screen.
Step 39Enter the payee's UEI in the Payee UEI field.
In this example, enter "CCC333DDD464".
Step 40Click in the Access Level field to display the list of Access Levels.
Step 41Select the appropriate Access Level from the list.
View Only allows users to view the history of financial transactions associated with the provided Payee UEI.
Full Access allows users to perform financial transactions for the grant awards associated with the provided Payee UEI including the creation of payment requests, refunds, and adjustments.
In this example, select the Full Access list item.
Step 42Enter the information into the Date of Birth field.
In this example, enter "01/01/1980".
Step 43Click the Continue > button to continue to the Edit Profile summary screen.
Step 44Click the Vertical scrollbar to scroll down.
Step 45Click the Submit button to submit and complete your access.
Step 46Enter your senior official's email address in the Senior Official Email Address in the field.
In this example, enter "jpitt@utraining.edu".
Step 47Click the checkbox to acknowledge that you and your senior official will verify your signatures with ID.me and sign the form using Adobe Sign.
Step 48Click the Send Adobe Form button to submit the form request.
Step 49A message will appear confirming that the link to the Adobe Form has been sent to your email address.
Step 50You will receive an email titled "Signature requested on "G5 Servicer Access Form"."
Click the Review and sign button in that email.
Step 51Click the Verify Identity button to open ID.me.
Step 52ID.me will open in a new window.
To proceed, you must have a verified account in ID.me. For guidance on creating an ID.me account, please visit Creating Your ID.me Account.
Enter your email address and password for your ID.me account then click the Sign In button.
Step 54Enter the code provided by your multi-factor authentication option.
In this example, enter "326329" in the 6-digit code field.
Step 55Click the Continue button.
Step 56The G5 Servicer Access Request Form will appear in Adobe Sign.
Click the Continue button to begin the signature process.
Step 57Click the Start button to begin editing fields.
Required fields are identified by a red asterisk(*).
Step 58Enter your phone number in the Telephone # field.
In this example, enter "2025555555".
Step 59Click in the User Signature field to add your signature.
Step 60Your signature will in a popup window.
Click the Apply button to add your signature to the form.
Step 61Your signature now appears on the form.
Click the Click to Sign button to submit your signed form.
Step 62You will receive a confirmation that you have finished signing the form. The form will next be sent to your senior official for their signature.
